Beyond the core conference, Kiwicon week has become host (in the parasitic sense) to a number of other infosec community events. Take advantage of the timing to check out some of the other things going on run by our various chums.
Got something else that should be on this list? Email the crue at kiwicon@kiwicon.org and let us know? Maybe something's happening in Taumarunui? Dargaville? Auckland?
Wrong Island Con
Mon 8 December, Christchurch
Last year a bunch of planes full of aussie hackers got diverted to Christchurch because of the rubbish weather in Wellington. They decided to have a con in the airport bar. This year they're on-purpose going to Christchurch, and have booked out brewpub The Twisted Hop for a bigger, intentional Wrong Island Con. Check out their website, which is much shitter than Kiwicon's site at http://wrongisland.org/
